Good morning everyone (at least those of you on the opposite side of the world, where it actually is morning). It's another bright, shiny day of F2P, so get on those queues and get Wild... and stuff...It's not quite dinner time in Taiwan, so enjoy the beef noodles I had for lunch instead :3

Good Morning:)So we've launched into F2P....Was kinda of rocky to say the least.But late in the evening the servers seemed to be more stable after the several restarts we had on the European ones.So I'm guessing we're going to need another week or something for people to start spreading out in the game and distribute the load.That being said, already made several new friends ingame:)Had actually fun going to the starting zones and talk with people, answering questions and helping them out.Even recruited a few into the guild as well.As usual, same with launch, there's the usual trolls on the forums right now.Still having a blast by poking them and seeing them explode for ridiculous stuff.They're going to have a blast when real-life hits them eventually with such attitudes.But yeah, we're free 2 play and exploring all the new thingies the game has.Don't like the rune system though.It's confusing and not really sure what to spend money and tokens on.Talking about money.......it's frigging expensive to rerune gear...

20 minutes and I'll have noon. Time to think about something to eat.Anyway, client is still downloading (at least it will continue as I get back home), patiently waiting off all drama that is happening. Bro-in-law yesterday attempted to get into the game, queue said: 146 hrs. Ouch.But me sitting calmly, by the time I get whole data situation will surely calm down. Folks in the previous coffee thread reassured me I'll have access to all my characters so - no need to worry, right?I roam the today's forum and see what - characters missing. Reason: inactivity. So yet again, "fear" reaches its cold, thorny fingers toward me. looks like it's time for another tea.And lunch.

Morning!I just finished my coffee...I've been long playing (not quite since day 1...) and long reading a lot on the forums, but not actually saying that much. Well, I figure now is as good a time as any to change that.... 'cause if we want Wildstar to succeed, we should all pitch in to make it the best place it can be, so here I am... pitching in!Anyway big update... how'd it go?... well...My gear was all present and accounted for and all appropriately (though newly) stated. (I hear that some medics ended up with things like Stalker tanky support systems, likely just because it was a bit of gear that had support on... I imagine that's a pain)I sifted through a million and one mail attachments, have stupid amounts of rune tokens for trade in, MASSES of new elemental resources, and a ridiculous amount of new power cores from all the old ones I'd accumulated.I didn't look at crafting yet. I looked at the rune sets... my brain melted a little. Then I looked again, and it started to make some mild amount of sense.I have not runed anything yet...Bit of general chatter in Illium, helped out with a few newbie/returnee questions. Most people seemed fairly amiable, despite the crazy lag at the time.Then switched to an alt to start doing the same thing. Someone suggested a dungeon so I switched back to tank it.Then we were all bumped back to the character selection screen while zoning into the dungeon.... and could never get back in (presumably because the zone we were now 'in' wasn't working. Though I tried the alt again and they didn't get back in either)Then I stopped for the night.All in all... not even nearly the worst expansion/mega-update I've experienced in MMO's:)(The first major expansion for WoW was an utter cluster-cupcake compared to that:) the first major stat revision was no better either!:))All in all... pretty solid as far as major updates go. Thumbs up!

First night of almost making a level, not really much has changed gameplay wise.(well except it feels way "easier")

Morning. Sitting here drinking black tea and eating pizza for breakfast (10:45 am here in England).Servers seemed a lot more stable in EU last night and I encountered virtually no lag. The only times I had to leave was for the server maintennance. Going to be having more Wildstar fun soon-need to work on getting used to the movement aspect of the game. I know I'm going to enjoy this game a lot.

Also... I should mention...The Lil' Beast pet is the mostadorable thing I've ever seen! He actuallybounds like a puppy.

Well, it's almost 5am here atm, which is only about an hour before the time I typically dream about waking up and being productive at. The Wildstarring has been pretty good so far. I got on my engineer last night and did some leveling and BGs (How I missed BGs!). I'm also happy to announce that I bagged my first griefer post-F2P launch. Level 50 stalker terrorizing level 8s in Algoroc.

He was a slippery little guy too! Chased him off 3 times before I finally ran him down. Not bad for the first day!Now to decide if it's better to get some sleep or try to just start tomorrow...err today.

I'm finding your name very fitting for that situation and countermeasures taken. Hail to you good sir.

Had coffee, practiced my Deutsch, decided to see if everyone calmed down here in the forums, toxic as always -sips more coffee- , gonna start working on my daily coding and back to PvP realm <3P.S: i never got to say this yesterday but i am so happy "Morning Coffee" is still around <3.

Nicht so gut :C, i actually tried learning with Rosseta Stone, which is nice,i feel like a toddler learning but i'm gonna take actual courses soon-ish.

Have fun with the grammar, that's probably the most difficult part. Although I'm not sure how romanian works, depending on that you may either have a great time... or a rather hard one. I know that a russian friend of mine still has problems using the right personal pronouns, because german apparenly has a few more than russian does.

Well for me and my guild, we were pretty demoralized by the rune system, the associated cost, and our inability to make the necessary fusion runes. So we'll see how it shakes out, but as of this morning I've got zero goodwill left for Carbine. Just one more avoidable mess.On the bright side, the lil beast is pretty neat.

So far I have leveled an esper on exile side so that I can grab a pair of gloves for wardrobe, and made nutella filled blintzes.It's nice that the pvp queues pop more often on Exile side, but the wins are pretty rare. So quantity vs quality I guess.Meh, I should be glad they pop at all.

Good morning!! I wasn't able to play much yesterday between maintenances I decided to just focus on cleaning my home. Hoping to log a lot of time today!

Today's coffee is starting to taste like mud.I think it's been sitting on the burner too long.

Day 2.Although the lag is gone (for now), I am a bit dismayed. I can solo the 5-man quests in Blighthaven but not in The Defile. Moreover, the latter has a ton of 20-man quests and, well, I barely met anyone there while I was clearing the story. Oh and did I mention that I am not looking forward to grinding endgame reputations on my Chua? Looking at you Crimson Badlands and that place in the snowy mountains with all the moodies. Star-Comm Basin, I've never actually done so there's that. I guess I could always just go on the Exiles instead, where I do not have to grind the first two reputations? Or was a speed-up mechanism implemented? I really, really do not want to grind them for a month again...for like the 4th time.More to do, more to do! Also, more to do!

Well, the little guild seems to be doing okay. Picked up a couple of solid returning players, and one of them is even a level 50 who just came back. Seemed to dig the whole "we're here to help" vibe, which is awesome. We need some more leadership if this is going to work for long.I got a little bit disheartened this morning on Facebook. I talked up this game for days leading up to re-launch. Got people all fired up. Out of the dozen or so friends who "bit" only ONE of them was able to actually play at all yesterday. When I logged into my account this morning, I was met with post after post from my real-world friends expressing their rage, frustration and "screw this I'm not leaving WoW for a company that's so obviously unprepared" rantings.It is very disheartening to me, to do my part to bring people in (and back) to the game, only to see Carbine fall (once again) flat on it's collective face.

Fits my sentiment exactly.The problem here is simply that the sceleton crew remaining, might not be able to live up to the hype or expectations returning players had.Then again, the same thing worked out well for another classic sub mmo that turned f2p recently.You will lose some of the vets, yet a big bunch of new players sweep in expecting something different.When the money starts flowing again, the ramp up in ressources in dev will push more features out and so on.So I'd say, hang in there for a while this could become quite a ride.Little sidenote: I do agree with the fact that it could and should have been handled a little bit better.just seeing how "many" officials where available for the community the time sh*t went down, is already way less then what we saw at inital launch.

Oh, *I* knew full well what to expect and did my utmost to try and explain the "Launch Week Blues" to the best of my ability. I mean, these *are* people I actually know, so they're willing to give me the benefit of the doubt, which is why I'm not totally left hanging. They'll try again, I know they will - I just hate feeling like a salesman for a product that can't deliver what it promised.Ah well, like I said, I'm not gonna let it ruin my day, that's for sure.I just hope that the good people at Carbine/NCSoft take a trip down to Best Buy this morning and pick up some more hardware or something. It's not like they were hording a giant stack of cash to get better servers. We got here because the revenue from the traditional MMO model was not working for them.Sorry you got an ear full, but you should have known that this, like every other release we have had was going to be bumpy.

They're not wrong. Carbine was seriously unprepared for this. Even early in the morning, it did not take long for the lag to come back. It is more playable than yesterday but still very, very annoying.

Hey there. Been a while since I peeked in here.Spent last night doing some tidying on my housing plot, and looking at some other plots. Some are already revamping theirs completely, making nice use of the extra space. Looking forward to seeing the cozmotronic new sights these bigger plots will bring!

But... this is whatevery launch is like.I'm not saying it's right or good, or that they couldn't have been better prepared, but there are much bigger companies, with virtually infinite pockets of cash, who still fail to get a launch day to go flawlessly... it'salmost unheard of (Destiny is the only online-only game that I know of in recent memory that wasn't crippled on launch day in some way)It happens to Blizzardevery time.It happens to EAevery time.How could Carbine be expected to somehow be one to avoid that?Encourage them to come back in a few days. Good morning from NY...Oh goodness, I had to wait in queue. The world is coming to an end. Really...not. I just had to say if from at the complaints.I dragged a friend back, he's Canadian. After he got through the connection issues, he was able to create a new character, he forgot everything. Anyway, his decision was to wait for things to quiet down. I'm actually gifting him CREDD to build me a haunted Frankensteiny housing plot. He used to be a bar designer before the bottom fell out in Canada. He's very talented so I shall put that talent to good work. I am good with managing people and computers, he is uber with housing. Now if only I could design my characters long black hair with a white stripe like Lily Munster, it would be so cool. He's also going to help me with a star ship design and a very Aurin leafy resort. For that he gets three months of sub. Really I would just give him the sub but he won't take it, so this is my sneaky way of doing it. Thank goodness he doesn't read these forums. He knows my name...ugh. *smiles cheekily*We're both looking for a good RP guild exile side if you know of one. We play both GW2 and Wildstar so our attention is shared but we both like to be in that environment.

My you are a mildly sarcastic little Chua aren't you....just teasing. I agree with much of your sentiment and am finding it hard to bite my tongue when people complain about the little things or when they say the game is much better now that it's F2P. Yes, that makes a lot of sense.

I loved it. Found the whole experience pretty immersive. Loved the graphics and music. Looking forward to more later on. After I catch up on sleep lol

Heh I finally managed to log in late last night, but all I really had time to do was extract items from my mailbox and inventory. With the lag, that took around an hour and a half to complete. XD Oh well. I got my loyalty mount and all that jazz, so I'm happy for now. Hopefully there will be time to work on housing later today...... but I must get myself to work here in a few minutes. QQ. Even though I'm still feeling nauseous from last night's shrimp and snowpeas. x_x

The Black Dagger Society still lives? That's good to know. I actually met a member while on my Chua. We duo'ed Aggregor in Crimson Badlands. For a moment, I thought I was hallucinating.However, I am 100% done with this lag. It is making what would otherwise be a trivial task (clearing Fragment Zero) into an exercise in patience. It is truly a pity because it cripples what would be an amazing game. Anyone happens to have a way to speed up time? Things should calm down within the next few days but I don't want to wait:(

My sleep pattern is completely screwed.)Hello good people from the coffee thread, whom somehow attracted a new player here :3Tried to play yesterday to little avail, the PvE server seems quite crowded here on EU, I even got disconnected due to maintenance in the afternoon when I was very close to logging in, but I remember damn well the nightmare some other MMOs were on launch/relaunch. (I don't know if it's really appropriate to call this a "relaunch", but since it probably attracted a massive amount of potential new players and created some sort of "hype" among them, I'd say so)After I gave up on the seemingly endless queue for J... y'know, that PvE Eu server, I just had the time to create a character on Warhound (Luminai was crowded too, just wanted to check out if one server was available for a first look), go through the tutorial for Dominion and some early questing, then had to go. Hope I'll have more luck today! Or maybe I should consider Luminai. I just have bad memories of "PvP servers" where newbies get slaughtered by mid-level players looking for a punching bag in pretty much every possible zone, or mass murders due to an "accidental" massive AoE attack from a high level player. Anyone mind giving some input on the situation there ?Either way, I'll keep waiting, this game got me at its level up animation.

Went into GA last night because we are crazy. Lots of lag an very painful. But at least we learned some things and I think folks saw how important runing was going to be:)Also had a new guy who wiped the raid on x-89 because I said "move up" and he healong ran to the boss while the rest of us stayed on the bridge and died while it collapsed. I laughed SO HARD I had tears running down my face. It was just too funny to see this one guy run ahead and the entire rest of the raid fall to our deaths. And then he was like "whaaaa- I thought I was 'moving up'?" I hope he didn't take it too hard, but it did serve to break the tension with all the frustration from lag.Rest of my week will be getting my warrior runed up and doing as much content for omni-bits so I can remove runes from my gear with service tokens (now that I realize I can replace my 100 runews with 120 runes in my 116 gear).

I have not been hurtful or antagonistic to anyone. I have never once said F2P players get out. I'm trying to get once subbers to come back because it is F2P. My problem is the once subbers who think the game is better now that it's F2P. It is not the F2P first time players. It is not the subbers. It is the people who think free is better because it's free. It's the same game. There will be launch blues. There always are.And I didn't help run off anyone. If players didn't stay, it had nothing to do with me. They should maybe give it a few days before complaining on the forums.

Correct. No one in particular, just a general "we shouldn't be antagonizing angry, frustrated people" because it's not making things better.Telling them to have patience, talking up the game, being reasonable ... hell yeah. I am *ALL* about trying to calm people down.And while there certainly is a lot of "chill bro" from us regulars, there is way, way more mean-spirited picking then needs to happen right now.

I'm really happy that the PvP server is back. I will probably add a character there soon.

Amazing, second day after launch and i still cant play this fcking game, its either over 1 hour long queue or problem with character creation, this company is pure garbage. Start running some groups, since Khandi generously donated a TeamSpeak server for our use.Then, one day, I'm going to log in to all my active toons and empty their mailboxes and see the damage that was done to my gears. I just don't have the heart to do that yet.

Let's see. First round of classes come and gone, and students all at recess. A nice, warm, "French Roast" coffee in the cup. Sky tending to rain outside.Oh, a question! Mucking about with forum use. Profile pictures: can free to play accounts set a profile picture on this forum, or are those paid acoc*nts only? So far, not a single image has successfully uploaded, regardless image format, and regardless image size.Tested signatures with my WoW characters' listings. Let's see if that works.Edit: It does. Signatures definitely allowed. Profile avatars... still uncertain.Edit again: And, for all the discussion and argument around the issue, I was able to log in last evening with no queue, and no appreciable lag. Just looking into the "learn the combat system and such" training mode, thus the first very few character levels, and I admit to liking what I see of combat mechanics thus far, limited as my experience obviously is. Also, not generally needing to target a specific enemy model for attacks likely gives nice graphical support to physical conflict in roleplay as well. Enjoying the gameplay of my engineer thus far.

I haven't logged to my 50's yet either Tex:( basically for the same reason.I was underwhelmed to say the least about the new rune system. It's one of the reasons that I made new toons. I think 'growing up' with the new runes will make it easier for me in the long run, basically because I simply don't have the time to min/max the 50's at this point in time.It's all good though, I'm still having a great time in Wildstar :wub:

Go back to killing people. Doesn't matter to me if they are exile or dominion, I just really enjoy the idea of random people being dropped into a situation that requires teamwork.

Warhound is probably gonna be my new home. As long as it thrives to the point of sustainable.

I was tempted, but with current obligations, it might be a while. I do loves me some PVP though. I miss the heck out of it.

I had 3 friends try to play for the first time yesterday and they were all left a bit discouraged. REGARDING FORUM PICTURES:1. Make them TINY. Like ... 72K or smaller. The smaller, the better.2. Use JPG format, not PNG or GIF. Just JPGs.3.????4. Profit.The trick is making them small.

Yea, after doing a couple BGs on Exile side, I just give up and go queue on Dominion. I solo queue on both sides, but seems like Dominion pugs have better teamwork. :ph34r:

I can think of one in particular who absolutely needs to be reported as often as possible. A certain individual who wields his vast experience playing the game about twice in the past year combined with frequent use of the term "beta" and is currently making the rounds to tell all new players that they are wrong because they are stupid, or didn't play in the beta, or didn't play in the beta because they're stupid. Sadly I don't think reporting will solve anything at this point. Best just to ignore and encourage others to do the same.

That was demoralizing. Not because we were wiping to stuff we pretty much had on farm but because the gear new world order seems aimed squarely at extracting extra RL cash from everybody regardless of "loyalty" or subscription status.

I heard someone say they used 1000x1000 pixels and it loaded just fine.

But also 200x200 pixels or larger, according to the "edit" window.

Alright so... F2P...I got on yesterday and I regretted it. But I am stubborn as all hell and stuck with it. Took forever to grab all of the 20 mails filled with items! Not only that, I went and crafted replacement gear, some ilvl 60, some ilvl 90. I think I only had my boots on when I logged on o.O but most of the implants/weapon attachment/etc stuff was replaced already on character. It was just my weapon and armor that were some weird tokens.I then went and did Space Madness. Oh what an appropriate title! I almost broke my mouse, keyboard and the damn desk in frustration. Good thing bots apparently don't know what lag is and my artillery bot kept on chugging along at the enemies. Lag almost killed me but not quite many times. The beauty of heavy armor?!?! Also half the time the mobs were attacking my artillery bot lmao cause I wasn't managing to hit anything!MOOs? What are MOOs when things take sometimes 20-30s to register?So I got to the vending bot enemy... who HEALS HIMSELF! And I'm supposed to interrupt him from doing that. I think he healed 10+ times before I managed to pre-emptively throw a CC that landed when he started making his move. I was feeling like a psychic by this stage... and my desk was moaning "stop hitting me". Yep, my hand hurt quite a bit and some very very not nice words came out of my mouth.Space Madness alone was enough for me to log off in disgust and go make characters on BnS Taiwan. Cause *cupcake*that noise.This morning I woke up at 4am cause I'm sick and headache+coughing=awake. So I went and bought a couple of gear pieces and got to average ilvl 80. Then proceeded to grab some runes in trade. Can't do exceptionals because... yeah. I just made the best of what I had.I was going to go do some contract stuff when I remembered... the DJ housing item and all that fuss. Apparently I didn't get my rewards for subbing since May... because who knows. Ticket in, who knows if there'll be an answer this year LMAO.So... you guessed it... I logged off in disgust and went to grab some icky lemon drink and some cold medicine.Lastly... Carbine ruined my plot. I mean, it was already a shameful display but now it's really really a SHAMEFUL display. I had attempted to align some ships and things to give it a shipyard vibe, it's about all I can muster, but now there's all that space and it's looking like someone threw some sh*t in the middle and walked away. I'm not adding ANY neighbours at this rate nor buying any fancy sky and land because even I don't want to see my own housing plot now.A lot of items in my holowardrobe say they are not obtainable anymore. o.O I'm so sad cause they include the awesome heavy metal orange shirt that is my favourite piece in the whole game. YAY, I got it but all the freebots are missing out!!!I bought an item by mistake because the SORT and FILTER options in the AH are still set to the old stats. I had to outsmart the system to find the 61+ ilvl gear. :(((((((((ICK ICK ICKAlright, all the negative out of the way...My new crafted gear looks amazing. And weird. I turned off my costumes cause it's so quirky and awesome. I look like a robot with or without helmet on! WIN!I don't know if I should redo my load-out. Volatility seems to be a huge problem right now but it also could have been all the lag making me miss my window and wasting volatility. Overall power did not feel decreased without runes, I'm sure it will feel even better with my terrible runes. *grin*

Makes no sense, removing skins. Some people claim all they removed was alternates with different dye paths, but that heavy metal tshirt is an "alternate" of another tshirt and they look NOTHING alike. So that is definitely a loss.:(Runes.. well... I only got normal rune tokens, one exceptional rune token.Let's see the issues. I can't obtain even the ilvl 100 class set runes because you need exceptional rune tokens?! I actually didn't even look to see if the exceptional rune token interface had the class ones because I had a total of 1 exceptional rune token. You need ilvl 90+ gear to use class sets, I think. If I remember right there's ilvl 100 and ilvl 120 class sets. Full unlocked class sets require items with 5 slots, period. 2+2+2+1+1 (=8).The other sets cap out their bonus at 6, but you have 3-4 slots let's say and you want to reach 6? You need 2+2+1+1 at best (exceptional rune=2, normal rune=1). The crafting reqs for the exceptional runes looked out of my price range, I need to wait for the market to grow for some of those mats. But generally, it's unlikely you'll get enough exceptional rune tokens to get full sets unless raider. Now raiders have to spend money to get the rune colors they need because a class set of 8 or doing 6/6 and 3/6 on a 5slot gear means you need to use the exceptional runes and the EXACT runes. Looking at a class set: 2+2+2+1+1 and there are only three types of runes in each set, with an exceptional and a normal variant each. So if the set is life, logic, water; then you need life+logic+water and 2 others from life, logic, water. No flexibility. The striker DPS multi-hit set (it's a set, but not a class set) has 3 rune types, if you want 6/6 on a 4 slot item... you need 2+2+1+1 or 2+2+2 meaning you have little flexibility.Even someone as unfussy as me trying to do the best without crafting exceptional runes, I had to reroll quite a few slots. 10 plat out of my hands and that is while being minimally fussy. As in, I didn't have exceptionals to need 2+2+1+1, all I did was 1+1+1 in most. And I left certain pieces alone until I can replace with ilvl 90 gear. Top that with the cost to unlock slots you already had unlocked plus the RNG nature of re-rolling colors... It's all.. ARG.BTW RuneMaster doesn't quite help if you are using tokens to get runes... sadly. It wants to craft your plan and doesn't take into account inventory of runes. Bummer.

The best one I saw was last night. My daughter has been chomping for the chance to play Wildstar with her Poppa, so she spent the evening downloading and when she finally got into the character creation screen, there was a giant Mechari standing in the middle of her screen. She couldn't make a toon because that dang robot was in the way and would NOT go away, even when we flipped factions, races, everything.Eventually she just exited and reloaded and it came up normally, but for a few minutes there, she had been invaded by Agent Pheadra.

My favorite "glitch" so far is all of the "Temp Runes" in the ah/cx. Clearly placeholders from beta that didn't get removed. Hold on to yo butts!

That's a new bug that started popping up yesterday. that little Aurin gal posted hers first. She created an Aurin, then couldn't zone into the game. So she backed out, made a Dominion toon ... and when she zoned into the Dominion Arkship, it was the Aurin character that had glitched out standing there.Honestly, this is probably the greatest bug in the history of bugs.

I campaigned at one point to have clear dates for the coffee thread, but people persisted using the ambiguous local dates. Last night i managed to open all the mails on my three main characters. After that i was too tired to find the NPC and look at what i could get with all my vouchers. I figured I'd just log on to an old lowbie PvP alt for some quick action. I had a mandatory name change, and even she had mails to go thru. Had no choice but to find the voucher NPC since she had no weapon. Things were a little laggy open world, but not too bad.

It's only really useful if you want to RP at new players from a very restricted position. The faction guards still hate your guts, and kill these misplaced characters on sight.

Heck, Sunshine posted last night that the lag isn't even "a priority" right now because they've got so many other issues they need to solve.I only *have* one issue, and that's the lag making the game unplayable. Knowing that it's not even on their short list of fix items is just very disheartening. I'll probably just end up sitting on the couch watching TV and going to bed a 8PM like last night.:(

HAHAHA Yeah. I haven't even sat through the new trailer yet. Once I heard it was all-Exiles, all-the-time, and KNOWING that the devs are fully aware of the faction imbalance, it just made me cranky to think they'd go that route and bring even more people to the Exiles.I mean, they've acknowledged there was an issue, and yet, still they did it. I just don't understand them sometimes.

What other issues could be rendering WildStar more unplayable? I am in the same boat as you in the sense that the only issue I've had is the lag. Everything else seems to be in working order.

She mentioned the log-in errors, the character creator errors, the NCCoin errors, some misplaced mobs ... I don't remember it all. Regardless, she mentioned the lag and said, straight up, it's not a priority fix.

I see. That is a pity. I guess we'll be stuck with the lag for a while so...any suggestions as to what to do in-game? Anything involving monsters and doing challenges is pretty much out of the question for me...

I know character creation issues are a huge problem for the F2P people, but if Carbine thinks anyone (including F2P) wants to play in this lag, they're sadly mistaken:/

Yeah, I'm just going to try some recruitment - but otherwise, you can't quest, can't fight, can't PVP, can't do instances, can't work on your house ... but hey, you'll be able to make characters and then get frustrated at the lag! :lol:I guess you could go farm mats or something in a low-level zone where the mobs won't fight you, or maybe work on your tradeskills.

I'd wager the lag should be a priority issue as it effects absolutely everybody from F2P new players to the vets.If these new players get past the character creation they're certainly not going to want to play a game that's unresponsive.

I think I am just going to play forumstar for today. A game unplayable due to lag is not something I want to have to deal with.

Particularly to say that although I know a bunch of people aren't able to enjoy the game right now due to technical stuff, I'm having an absolute blast with this drop and I hope you folks are able to join the fun soon. :DThey've added so much goodness to housing... I can't even articulate.My current build, Terra Caelum, is using predominantly new decor from this drop for its main landscape features. The quality is really high for this stuff. They gave us a lot of new rock options, some new plants, and a whole bunch of awesome boardwalk pieces, and all of it feels much more "real" than past items, less generic. Like, there's quite a bit of natural variance on my plot right now. Then add in the water decor— so alive!— the guards, the guests, the osun pieces if you have them, the beautiful skies, fire blazing in the night... Terra Caelum feels way, way more exciting and immersive than anything I've built before.Wildstar feels more exciting and immersive than I've ever felt before...Gonna finish making foods now so I'm ready when the realms are back up. Will post a few screenshots of the new plot soon. Also gonna put together a big opening event, maybe this weekend before I build the actual inside of the house, and you're all invited! :PLOVE this drop.

Still not liking the new challge reward track and the lag, but the latter should fix it's-self after a bit and the former might get some changes but, won't get my hopes up. I'm trying to get my older bro's to play after the lag goes away, though they are kinda busy with jobs and other stuff you get by having a life or whatever people call it.(I don't relly know what to post here in this thread, please don't sue me for being not good at words)

Augh just had this rush of depression over runes and my gear. x_x Are Jack and I even going to be able to do dailies and shiphands effectively if I don't re-rune... I know on our Dommies, we could not 2-man the Star-Comm primes (we did that easily on Jack/Antimony). Is the power difference going to be similar...? Urgh feeling so upset at going out in the world and feeling so weak because I don't want to/can't afford to freaking rune..____________________. I thought I'd resigned myself to this over the course of the PTR, but it just hit me and it's really really upsetting.

Suddenly, I am very very glad I never bothered with lots of high-dollar Runes.Now everyone else is as bad as I am!That's cause for celebration, right? ;)

I'm just focusing on housing with all the issues going on now, and trying to play the market a bit to get golds. I bought some rolls on the Madame RNG store and won a bunch of stuff for $20. Ended up selling several of them and made 20p.Have a whole bunch of items remaining too (dyes, costumes, mount, pet, customizations, guards).My plan is to buildbuildbuild, then rune and get back into the game once lag is fixed. Then it'll be farming the ever-loving crap out of Adventures for renown and guests, and running through Alpha Sanctum. :D

Thats pretty much what im doing right now.. less problems.. though i still grind my teeth when im draging something and it gets snagged on something with the advanced mode.. grrr i still can't believe its there.. oh well..

That sounds crappy.:(Somehow I've managed to not experience a lot of instability it seems other players are going through. Placing decor is delayed, but overall it's been pleasant.The DCs earlier today were pretty bad though. They tapered off but hopefully this maintenance is addressing a few big concerns (especially character creation problems).

Hey I think I can answer this question for ya. While I don't really know your gear level (or Jack's), I highly doubt it's any worse than my espers' (yes plural), my gear is mostly from the contract rewards, plus some rep vendor items, a few adventure items, and a couple dungeon items.... all completely unruned. No problem completing gold soloing Fragment Zero + Space Madness, and duo-ing Infestation. They did take longer than drop 5, and some parts you may want to ease up on bum-rushing, but none of the 3 shiphands made me stressed out I couldn't finish them in time.The one I struggled with the night before yesterday, in Deep Space Exploration, was probably a combination of lag + addons not working... and my general dislike of the instance altogether. I still made gold, but with only 2sec to spare. I've changed my LAS a little since, and things seem to work out better now. I plan to go back to DSE tonight (if lag allows lol), and see how I fare.I also ran vet STL this morning when lag was still okay, with my lovely unruned gear :lol:, and we got bronze.... primarily due to the wipes on Stormtalon himself. (double knockdowns on healer?) I didn't inspect other people's gear, but the TTK on everything was noticable. The same tank whom I ran with just a week ago said he could have solo'd the last 350k by himself in drop 5, but wasn't able to this morning. I think he also went in there unruned with a couple addons not working.Naunet, I think you are over-worrying.:)

Lag seems to be fixed for now... at least I don't have any problems. Made a Mordesh Stalker, because I felt like playing Mordesh again. She's got pretty goggles.

I dunno. I just logged in to test things and found my TKS hitting for ~5-700 damage less than it used to, which... is pretty demotivating. It took me ridiculously long to kill a single mob on my own. I mean, I've never killed things super fast (that's why I quest with Jack! lol) because I run with healer AMPs (my other LAS is pvp healing lol), but my TKS went from doing around 2k damage to 1.1-1.3k.:\ That's a pretty significant drop.

Yea, you'd probably want to use the melee build. Even ignoring the clumsy IB stacks (just use PF builder and Storm finisher, keep the rest of your LAS), it felt stronger than TKS. Less burst more sustain, and definitely less eating-between-pulls. Time-to-kill has increased, as I had mentioned, but you should still be able to gold shiphands. Well I have no luck with the stupid exploding squirg room in Gauntlet (my best solo effort was 19/20), but that's a different story.Wait, am I reading right? You're saying you solo things with assault abilities but in healing amp build? Ahhh, that is probably the crux of your issue. You may have to spend the elder gem on the 3rd LAS for dps. I use my PVE-heal amp build for PVP, but I'm not that hardcore haha.edit: omg I'm so stupid, I just remember my dominion esper has 3 LAS since a year ago!

Well I've always slapped dps abilities on my healing AMP build, so it's not like I'm comparing damage I did with dps AMPs to damage I do with healing AMPs. Helps that I'm usually playing with my husband, who's a dps slinger; having the healing build helps cause we like to pull metric crap tons of mobs and he's squishy as heck. xD I'm used to doing low amounts of damage compared to an actual DPS character, but now it's even worse... I don't really know a lot about dpsing on esper though, so I wasn't aware that TKS was no longer a thing to use. Thanks, I'll try that and see what happens.Alas it doesn't help the hit my heals have taken.:/ Used to be able to heal someone up near to full in 1-2 Soothes, but now it's taking 4-5 of them.And if that wasn't enough, my beloved Grid add on is borked! Gosh I know! Feels like I lost a limb without Grid.But I think the dpsing in heal-LAS is a bigger issue than TKS vs PF, and my suggestion to use melee probably won't help much. Someone did a parse on PTR and found a 3k dps difference between the TKS + bird + haunt and the PF + storm + haunt builds (favoring the latter). That's with raid gear, ofc.When you duo tag team with your husband, are you in dps gear or healing gear?

67 min queue on Entity, so i just went PvP server instead (what's it called again?). Everything running smooth there.Shame to hear about Grid. IIRC it had already been abandoned by its creator when I installed it last year. That bodes ill for it getting fixed.
