I have a similar issue while playing Diablo 4. My PC would randomly crash. I did a fresh reinstall of Windows 11, and all my problems disappeared until I realized I had forgotten to install the Synapse software. I installed the Synapse, and my random reboots returned. Since I have uninstalled the software, this is occurring with the latest version of Synapse. I did not have this issue with previous versions.
I have the same problem. The computer crashes during games only when synapse is installed. Something particular to my case is that each time the PC crashes the intel display drivers get messed up (require reinstall) and all my synapse configurations are reseted.
My pc getting crashing randomly after installing synapse 3.. any solution? im using viper mini
I have the same issue. A month ago, in October 2023 I think, a razer synapse update got installed, after this update, when I start the computer, windows 11 22H2, the Ballistic mouse is not found by synapse, I need to take out the usb cable of the mouse and put it back in to get recognized (windows 11 recognize the mouse, as I can use the mouse). Shortly after this the mouse pointer disappear and windows 11 just restart, there is no BSOD or any other error messages. After I uninstalled the Razer synapse software, i haven’t had a single problem since. But now I cant use any extra programmable buttons on the mouse, as this is not saved to the mouse, but instead kept in the razer software, bummer.
I have uninstalled Razer synapse, downloaded a fresh install from Razer, this doesn’t solve the problem.
I found out that it was the bugged nvidia graphics driver (546.17) that caused the windows 11 restart problem and not the razer synapse software. I installed the nvidia driver536.99, and now everything works fine.
I’ve been trying to solve the crash issues I have for a long time.
1. I checked and double-checked hardware.
2. I updated Windows
3. I ran
chkdsk C: /f /r /x
DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
…
4. I installed a brand-new Windows 11 on a second boot !
And just now I thought about the annoying synapse I only use to set my Function keys to standard !!!
If that was the problem, please let Razer know I spent at least 100 hours trying to solve my crashes
I’m removing the software but still need to know if there is a way to set the standard function keys without
Any help for this ?
Please do
I’ve been having this issue for months. When I look in event viewer it says thatnvlddmkm encountered an error. I did a DDU cleaning. Reinstall and still I got the GPU crash. I know it’s a video drive crash because I can hear youtube in the background running. I continued my way troubleshooting the issue. Reseed cables. Remove GPU, switch surge protector and even went straightto the wall thinking it was a power delivery issue. Finally, I did a clean windowsinstall. When I mean clean, I ran the clean install by removing partitions and formatting drives before installing windows. I declined installing everything and only installed my drivers. I ran the game that keep crashing, The First Descendant and what do you know no more crashing. Any way I ran the game for 2hours without crashes. I even ran the parts of the game that always saw the crash. Like I said 100% when I did this task in the game it black screened.Anyway, I decided if I’m going to figure out what’s causing the crash I will install some of the apps one at a time weekly and keep testing to see what’s causingthe issue. As soon as I install synapse black screen over and over. I delete the app and it’s gone. I have a 7800x3d, a Tuff 4090oc, and acrosshair x670e hero. Not sure if the issue is a kernal bug. When I looked at the event log the crash was not nvidia nvlddmkm but a kernal.
I am also having this issue.
Both of my monitors go black, and all inputs stop for a moment. Then sound sometimes comes back.
Causes my fans to start spinning up like mad.
Only way to reboot is to hold power button.
Issues resolve with Razer Synapse uninstalled

I RMA my GPU. I started getting the issue really bad on every game that is pulling too much watts. Event viewer says it's nvlddmkm. I DDU, reinstall windows, down clock ram and even held my breath nothing worked. My 4090 just made it to California undergoing diagnositics with ASUS. Its under warranty the next fix was under clocking but why would I do that and it's a new GPU. I've owned plenty of GPUs in my day and if you have to do hand stands to make a GPU work get it RMA it should work without the BS.
Following this guide have solved all my crashes when playing games, black screen and more, works for all nvidia gpu:
